Education Is The Key Foundation For Building Legacies And Our United Future

INTRODUCTION

The fact that we USOSANS are writing about education is already a plus for education. It is a laudable feat. It is the vehicle that brought us together.
Thanks to Unity Schools, our nation has been blessed with a large number of PPP (promising, prestigious, and powerful) individuals in society.

Individuals that look out for themselves, their friends, family, the community, and their alumni through various means, such as donations, networking, and mentorship.

WHAT IS EDUCATION?

Education is the process of learning that permits individuals to gain information and abilities. It can be acquired informally and formally.

INFORMAL EDUCATION

Family is where it all begins. It is the foundation of education. Well-articulated families educate their children the way they want them to grow. Families expand to groups, communities and society to with similar interests, values, beliefs, and sense of belonging. At this level, there are oral traditions that are transmitted in African societies.

LEARNING SYSTEM

People are taught through traditions, rites of passage, etc. in the context of informal education. They are also thought about in mentorship and apprenticeship. For example, Onitsha (southern Nigeria) has a traders’ association called Omata (Onitaha market amalgamated traders’ association). A young apprentice understudies his master (who is usually an established trader) for ten years, and at the conclusion of his studies, the master establishes a similar business for him as a reward.

FORMAL EDUCATION

This is what brought USOSANS together. It is also practiced by people in the larger world. A structured form of education that occurs in classrooms and institutions. Qualified students are issued a certificate at the conclusion of the course, which is taught by experienced instructors or tutors.

EMPOWERMENT

Education empowers individuals by equipping them with the tools needed to navigate an increasingly complex world. This is what cannot be accomplished with illiteracy. Furthermore, It also plays a pivotal role in strengthening the society through the impact of the educated citizens who are more likely to contribute positively to societal and social cohesion.

Moreover, well educated workforce drives innovation, productivity and works to achieve sustainable economic growth.

CONCLUSION
Finally, we cannot deny the fact that harnessing education is the foundation for building legacies and shaping our united future. It is the glue that binds our heritage and the society at large. We can expect a brighter and more united future thanks to increased knowledge and social interactions.
